The Benefits of Ginger

Ginger is a root or rhizome native to India and China. It is a natural curative for many health problems. In many Ayurvedic medicines ginger used in the form of clusters of fresh root or dried ginger . Considering all the medicinal values we made as a part of food in our daily life.Ginger is eaten in the form of pieces, paste, juice, tea, beer, candies or powder.

Ginger has anti-oxidant, anti inflammatory, antiseptic,anti viral properties.It also reduces cholesterol, prevents blood clotting, promotes blood thinning.

How to use Ginger in various problems?

1. Chewing ginger pieces mixed with rock salt before meals helps in increasing appetite and favours digestion.

2.People suffering from back ache and head ache can eat small ginger piece fried in spoonful of ghee every night before sleeping for 20 days.It relieves from the pain.

3.Grind ginger with equal amounts of jaggery and make this paste into small round balls.Take this thrice daily. It cures even severe cold ,cough and flu.

4.Mixture of one spoon ginger juice and one spoon honey acts as a wonderful medicine for allergy and itching related rashes.

5.Pouring 2 or 3 drops of warm ginger juice in ear, reduces ear pain.

6.Mix ginger juice,lemon juice and pinch of salt.Intake of 2 spoons of this liquid reduces motion and morning sickness .It also decreases nausea during pregnancy.

7.To get relief from migraine, mix ginger juice and pinch of saffron.Now pour 3 or 4 drops of this mixture in the nostril on side of pain (if you are getting Migraine pain on left side then put this in your left nostril). It shows immediate relief.

8. To get relief from acidity and flatulence, shallow fry ginger pieces and cumin seeds in ghee and eat in the morning on empty stomach.

9.Ginger mixed with honey act as throat lozenge, which helps in reducing sore throat.

10. It is also used to cut constipation problem.

11.Mixture of basil extract and ginger juice reduces stomach pain in children.

12.Dried ginger and dried dates helps in curing menstrual problems in women.

13.Butter milk mixed with ginger pieces,lemon,curry leaves and pinch of salt works excellent for heart burns, sunstroke and diarrhea. It also relieves from stress…
